Dear Students,

On behalf of the course co-ordinator Dr. Jackie Li and myself, I would like to welcome you to this module. I will be teaching the first half of the module. The course outline and material for the first two seminars are already in the course documents folder. Although my seminar notes are designed to be self-contained, you may wish to refer to the reference material. It is not necessary to buy any of the reference material. Please check the course documents folder regularly for updates.

I understand that this module is an elective. The pre-requisite is BA215. Thus any student who wishes to do this module should make sure that they have thorougly understood the material in BA215. Also there will be quite a lot of calculus in this module. If you are still struggling with basic integration, integration by substitution, integration by parts etc, this module is simply going to overwhelm you!

Sat, Dec 20, 2008 -- BA322-SEM-08S2: Seminar 1

Seminar 1 will start on Friday 9th Jan. Please read the notes and try to attempt the questions before hand. Don't worry too much if you are not able to attempt all of the questions at first go. You will be given some time to complete the questions during the seminar. However, it will be in your best interests to try most of the questions first. The time given during the seminar is best used for cosolidating your answers with the other members of your group.
